High-level UAE-Uganda meeting focuses on economic and climate collaboration

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE warmly received Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations. The leaders discussed cooperation across various sectors, emphasizing investment, economy, renewable energy, and sustainability.

The meeting at Qasr Al Shati highlighted both countries’ commitment to sustainable development and progress. They addressed regional and international matters, focusing on the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in the UAE. This event aligns with their mutual interest in combatting climate challenges and promoting global climate action.

President Museveni expressed Uganda’s eagerness to deepen economic and investment ties with the UAE, reflecting shared aspirations. The gathering was graced by prominent UAE dignitaries, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and several others. The Ugandan delegation comprised key ministers and officials, underlining the importance of this diplomatic exchange.
