Passenger demand will grow rapidly in 2023, UN aviation agency says

By 2023, the UN‘s aviation agency predicts that global air passenger demand will increase by 3% from 2019 levels on most routes, quickly returning to pre-pandemic levels. As previously noted by ICAO statistical analysis, the air passenger forecasts ICAO is announcing today build on momentum toward recovery in 2022.

Passenger demand will grow rapidly in 2023, UN aviation agency saysA major global forecast has been published by ICAO for the first time since China abandoned COVID-19 travel restrictions last month. It was predicted by the airlines association IATA back in December that the global economy would recover fully to 2019 levels by 2024.
